MOST Ventures announces the completion of its second exit — the exit from GoatChat, an intelligent assistant developed by the Adapt team that enabled users to communicate with the greatest minds in human history. The acquisition of GoatChat by the Spanish media holding Newry Global Media was announced earlier this spring. GoatChat _ Adapt
GoatChat allows users to interact with scientists, philosophers, inventors, and other historical figures. The application generates personalized responses based on modern AI models, turning learning and knowledge discovery into an interactive experience. The product also includes universal assistant features and can help analyze documents and generate text.
At a time when exits in the region are still relatively rare, such transactions demonstrate that the full venture cycle can be successfully realized in Central Asian countries.

“For MOST, this is the second exit in the past year. We are glad to once again demonstrate that the cycle works: startups grow, and investors receive returns. We are proud of the Adapt team and of the fact that our fund helped the company reach an acquisition by a major international holding,”
— notes Alim Khamitov, CEO of MOST Ventures.
GoatChat achievements:
- Ranked among the top 10 fastest-growing AI applications in five countries;
- Stayed in the charts for 22 consecutive weeks;
- Became an example of a product with Kazakhstani roots that successfully entered international markets and attracted a global strategic buyer.
“It was a great pleasure for us to work with one of the strongest venture funds in Central Asia. This was an exciting journey where the fund did not just invest, but truly followed our pivots — from the product’s first 1,000 users to 8 million users globally. GoatChat essentially became the first startup with Kazakhstani roots to reach top positions in the App Store worldwide — in France, Germany, China, Taiwan, and Japan — and to remain in the top 50 in these markets for around 40 consecutive weeks. For our team, this is an important proof that products from the region can compete at the very highest level,”
— says Erbol Kopzhasar, co-founder of the project.
Erbol believes the exit happened at the right time:
“The consumer AI market began to rapidly saturate, and selling to a strategic player at that moment was the optimal decision both for the product and for investors.”
GoatChat was the first startup in Kazakhstan to conduct full-scale AI research. Its work on alignment and fine-tuning of LLM models was cited by Google Research and mentioned in scientific publications, including journals at the level of Nature, as well as in papers presented at NeurIPS.
